Qualstar's Q1000+ enterprise tape library powered by Orion is designed to be Simply Reliable™, providing superior performance and scalability for short-term backup, disaster recovery, and long-term archiving requirements. The 42 and 48U libraries utilize LTO-9 or LTO-10 tape drives, and each Rack delivers up to 44.6 PB (LTO-10 native) or 111.5 PB (LTO-10 compressed) of storage capacity.
A Single 48 U Rack may be connected to up to an unlimited number of additional Racks, creating a single library system that can reach Exabyte Scale, dependent on software and connectivity- single picker per rack.
The user control panel employs an intuitive GUI and setup wizards to make the system easy to configure and operate. An integrated web browser-based remote management interface (RMI) enables IT administrators to remotely configure, manage, and diagnose the library from anywhere in the world.
